Interwoven Narratives is a group exhibition celebrating the creative practices of faculty from the Fine Art Department at Seattle Central College. Featuring work by Ayad Almissouri, Tatiana Garmendia, Jessica Hoffman, Phillipe Hyojung Kim, and Mary Le, the show brings together a wide range of mediums—including painting, drawing, sculptural installation, digital collage, printmaking, and artist books/zines—to explore the multifaceted nature of storytelling in the visual arts.

Each artist contributes a distinct perspective shaped by their personal histories, cultural identities, and academic inquiries. Whether through Ayad Almissouri’s layered imagery, Tatiana Garmendia’s poetic investigations of myth and memory, Jessica Hoffman’s tactile and intimate works, Phillipe Hyojung Kim’s dynamic visual experiments, or Mary Le’s evocative explorations of form and pattern, the exhibition offers a rich constellation of voices. Together, these works resonate with themes of identity, resistance, longing, and imagination.

Interwoven Narratives invites viewers to consider how stories are told, remembered, and reimagined across mediums—and how visual art can preserve, challenge, and transform the threads of history and meaning. At once personal and collective, the exhibition reflects the power of art to speak across difference and time.
