Painting for Invisible show

[In]Visable

October 25 though November 17, 2016
Opening Reception Oct 26, 5-7 p.m.

Featuring artists from Asian Counseling and Referral Services, this show offers glimpses into complicated intersections of ethnicity, perceived identities, and invisible disabilities.

[In]Visible: Presence, Voice and Beauty features artists from the Asian Counseling and Referral Service's Behavioral Arts Therapy Program. Program coordinators Chau Huynh and Linh Phan work to create an inclusive, friendly, safe, and professional oriented environment in a studio setting so artists will be  empowered to discover their internal strengths, and develop self-appreciation and self-recognition that  contributes to their recovery. Their works offer glimpses into complicated intersections of ethnicity, perceived identities, and invisible disabilities.
